date : 26th April 2008 time : 0837hrs Helluez! What a great morning.. I just woke up and straight away to my laptop.. and now I feel like blogging.. hehe.. I'll share what has happened in the past few days.. Well, my first week in school was ok.. made many friends.. and I think I'm good socially.. hehe.. today's Saturday! Can rest! Yesterday had a performance at Stones.. it's a pub near Clarke Quay.. opposite Riverside.. Me and my band actually supposed to have our sound check ONLY but the pub owner asked us to play after the sound check.. So we came at around 1900hrs and we sat.. the guys had their drinks and I drink just a little.. damn little coz I was forced to.. Rafi came around 2130hrs to join us.. there's a band that's performing also that night.. they are supposed to come in at 2000hrs but they were late.. they came in around 2100hrs.. so late.. that means my band is performing at 2200hrs.. the first band consist of 2 pakcik(s) and a lady.. she's around 30+ I think.. they performed old skool rock.. I'm impressed with one of the pakcik playing guitar.. so cool.. the other one played keyboard and the lady only sings.. after their set, it's our turn.. it took us so long to set up.. maybe because the stage is small.. I had trouble fixing the drum cable as it was my first time using the digital drums.. a soundman was helping us out with the set ups.. after it was all done, we played our songs.. but it was a total screw up.. I cant even hear my drums.. it was so soft.. I can only hear Jimmy's voice and SSG's guitar.. that's what keep my tempo going.. I keep my tempo right.. I can't hear Jon's guitar.. whatever it is, we kept it going.. Jon was supposed to sing one of the song but he keeps pushing Jimmy to sing.. Jimmy has no choice but has to sing.. that's what we hate about him.. keeps pushing his part to Jimmy whenever he's nervous.. I don't really care anyway, but what concerns me is that I can't hear my drums properly.. I'm scared I might hit the wrong tom.. we played around 4 songs and then we packed up.. after that we chill for awhile outside the pub and we left around 2300hrs.. After many discussions, we decided that we're not playing today.. Rafi will look for us better gigs.. at least we're able to play more properly.. but yesterday was a total screw up.. mabe later I'll just meet Jimmy, SSG and Rafi.. Oh yah, my girlfriend and maybe Jam will come along too.. then can play Monopoly.. Now Monopoly is the in-thing for our band.. it is used to be watching movie and playing PSP but not everyone owns a PSP.. now with this 'old-skool' yet sophisticated board game, everyone can play.. we bought the portable one so we can bring it wherever we go.. hehe..
